Match Eatery & Public House has gone through various brand identities in the past. In 2020, the goal was to nail this down to unify the 14 locations across Canada. Located typically in small towns, Match is the neighborhood public house that is an approachable pub with a sense of humor.
To support this, a new brand book was created to focus on the three main areas of the brand, great food, great experience, and expand upon what Match meant. We decided to expand on these areas with a two-part approach for print/marketing materials and social media.
For print and digital marketing, we wanted to have cohesion between the in-person experience and what was being shown, so it was decided to play off of the in-person brand touchpoints through our graphic creatives and reinforce the great food through photography on our social platforms. This translates to a quirky personality with relatable grungy nostalgia of your neighborhood pub.
